Dyana Martinez

Dyana is a proud graduate of the University of Texas, where she competed for Texas Speech and served as LP Captain for two years. Dyana competed across the limited preparation and public address events, seeing multiple national final rounds. In her senior year, she was the runner up in Extemporaneous Speaking and Communication Analysis at the AFA-NIET, and the runner up in Sweepstakes, Impromptu Speaking, and Extemporaneous Speaking at the NFA national tournament. Prior to her time on the college speech circuit, Dyana competed for Saint Mary’s Hall as Extemp Captain and competed in outrounds at the Extemporaneous Tournament of Champions and TFA State.

Dyana is passionate about educational equity. She taught 1st grade English language learners for two years and obtained her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. She now works in recruitment for EdTech startups.
